I am a freelance writer based in Philadelphia. I write magazine features about powerful people and institutions, business, education, and sports.

I’m currently a writer at large for Philadelphia magazine. Previously, I was on staff at the magazine, first as a research editor (long live fact checkers!) and then as a staff writer. My work for Philadelphia has been nominated in the reporting and feature-writing categories at the City and Regional Magazine Awards.

I’ve also worked for Washingtonian and Esquire, and I’m originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, a place I still find very beautiful and fascinating.
